Ryan Yong has been involved in various roles in the engineering industry since 2019. In 2021, they began working as an Electronic Engineer and Associate Electronics Engineer at Liquid Instruments. During their tenure, they tested and validated pre-production scientific instruments, undertook a risk analysis on the supply chain for the materials used in manufacture of Liquid Instruments products, and updated and maintained the company’s PCB schematic library on Altium Designer. In 2020, they were an Electrical Team Member for ANU Solar Racing, where they designed, tested, and manufactured a solar powered car that competes in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. Ryan also served as a Casual Sessional Academic (Tutor) at The Australian National University, tutoring second-year engineering students on analogue electronic components and system engineering processes, and as a System Engineering Project Member, building, testing, verifying, and validating an electromagnetic field generator. In 2019, Ryan was a Project/ Real-Time Logistics (RTL), Sales and Service Intern at Dematic, assisting their supervisor in client meetings and project handovers, setting up and installing Zebra Technology vehicle mount computers on forklifts, and installing Dematic’s Warehouse Management System on mobile computers.
Ryan Yong attended The Australian National University from 2018 to 2021 and earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering.
