Onur Gökçe is a Senior R&D Engineer at Liom since February 2023, with previous experience as a Senior Diagnostic Platform Developer at 1DROP Diagnostics from September 2021 to January 2023. Gökçe held dual roles as a Scientist at the Institute of Neuroinformatics, University of Zurich and ETH Zurich, as well as ETH Zurich itself from December 2018 to December 2020. Prior to these positions, Gökçe was a Postdoctoral Scientist at IBM Research - Zurich from July 2014 to September 2018, focusing on Precision Diagnostics. Earlier research experience includes work as a Doctoral and Postdoctoral Scientist at the Max-Planck-Institute of Neurobiology from October 2008 to March 2014, with a PhD thesis on Channelrhodopsin assisted synapse identity mapping. Gökçe began a career in academia as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Sabanci University from October 2004 to August 2007. Educational background includes a PhD from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (2007-2014), an MS from Sabanci University (2004-2007), and a BS in Mechatronics Engineering from Sabanci University (2000-2004). Early education was completed at Robert College (1993-2000).
