Shawn C. has extensive experience in the esports and digital media sectors, currently serving as Business Development Lead and Marketing Lead at Linus Media Group since June 2022. Prior roles include Esports Development Consultant with the City of Toronto and Economic Development Manager with the City of Merritt. Shawn has also held positions as Strategy and Innovation Manager at The Gaming Stadium and Esports Development Instructor at Vancouver Animation School, focusing on nurturing esports talent. As Esports Coordinator/Strategist at the Vancouver Economic Commission, efforts centered on building a Canadian esports economy. Notably, Shawn served as President and Founder of Volcanic Media Inc, pioneering Scholastic Esports programs in Canada. Earlier experience includes positions in social media and marketing, paired with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Computer Science from the University of Northern British Columbia.
