Jeffrey Barbee is an award-winning investigative journalist and filmmaker specializing in environmental and science reporting. Currently serving as a contributing writer for National Geographic Magazine since October 2020, Barbee's work has garnered international recognition in the oil and gas sector. As the founder of Alliance Earth, Barbee also leads SCARABTECH as the CEO and manages The Dung Beetle Project, which creatively transforms single-use plastics into energy through a unique art installation. Additionally, Barbee contributes to Link TV's Earth Focus as a correspondent and film producer and directed the project "The High Cost of Cheap Gas." Barbee has also completed a fellowship with The Open Society, producing the acclaimed film "Creating A Climate For Change." Academic backgrounds include education at George School and the University of Alaska Anchorage.
