Courtney Christensen has worked in the technology industry since 2003. Courtney began their career as a Student Aide for the Department of Information Technology at the University of Mary Washington. In 2006, they took on a role as Web Developer at System Planning Corporation, where they maintained a custom intranet written in Perl. In 2013, they joined nPulse Technologies, Inc as a Software Engineer. In 2014, they moved to FireEye, Inc. as a Sr. Software Developer in the Enterprise Forensics Group. In 2015, they joined Linden Lab, where they have held various roles, including Senior Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager of the Web Team, Engineering Manager of the Ecom Team, and Team Lead of the Extraction Team. During their time at Linden Lab, they have helped launch Tilia, Inc as a business, maintained communication with internal stakeholders, cleared the runway for their team to make great software, and developed Golang REST APIs to solve the needs of Second Life and Sansar.
Courtney Christensen obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from the University of Mary Washington between 2002 and 2006. Courtney also holds certifications in PHP from Zend (obtained in September 2009), Security+ from CompTIA (obtained in January 2012), and C|EH from EC|Council (obtained in August 2011).
