Theater And Visual Arts Teaching Artist at Lincoln Center Education

Taryn Matusik is an experienced museum and arts educator with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Museum Educator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art since October 1997, Taryn develops and leads inquiry-based programming for varied audiences, including programs tailored for individuals with developmental and learning disabilities. In addition, Taryn works as a Theater and Visual Arts Teaching Artist at Lincoln Center Education and TDF, focusing on in-school residencies that highlight Broadway and Off-Broadway theater. Taryn also holds a position as a Staff Developer at Morningside Center for Teaching Social Responsibility, training educators on Social Emotional Learning and Racial Equity. Recent engagements include creating visual art programs for individuals with dementia at Arts & Minds and facilitating theater residencies at Manhattan Theatre Club. Taryn's educational background includes a Master's of Philosophy (ABD) in Precolumbian Art and Archaeology from Columbia University.
