Dimitris Giannakis is an accomplished developer with extensive experience in game development and software engineering. Currently serving as the Carbon Engine Lead Developer at Limited Run Games since August 2019, Dimitris spearheads the development of a robust emulation engine designed for retro games across multiple platforms. With a successful history as an Independent Contractor and a notable presence on YouTube as a content creator, Dimitris has garnered significant recognition for shipped titles, including "Shantae" and "Quake." Previous roles encompass various leadership positions, such as Director of Information Technology at MSI GuaranteedWeather, and Director of Software Development at Heartland Crop Insurance, where strategic direction and team leadership were key responsibilities. Dimitris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Monash University.
