Oleksandr Holovin has extensive work experience in the field of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering. Oleksandr began their career at IRF Ukraine in 2009 as a Linux Senior System Administrator, where they gained expertise in various areas such as corporate mail server support, network configuration and support, and LAMP configuration.
In 2013, Holovin joined Henry Schein as a DevOps engineer, where they contributed to the integration and support of Linux-based services. Oleksandr worked on tasks such as VPN network configuration, firewall integration, and backup planning.
Holovin then joined Yodle in 2015 as a DevOps engineer, where they focused on DevOps practices and supported the company's infrastructure. After a brief stint in Yodle, they moved on to SoftServe in 2012 as a DevOps Engineer. At SoftServe, they worked with a diverse range of clients, building collaborative relationships and delivering intuitive software solutions.
In 2016, Holovin joined One Planet Ops as a Senior DevOps engineer, where they played a crucial role in supporting the company's online marketplace and network of local business owners. Oleksandr operated within the automotive, real estate, and home improvement industries, contributing to the growth and innovation of the company.
In 2021, Holovin transitioned to Limelight Networks, where they initially served as a Senior DevOps engineer before being promoted to the role of Senior Site Reliability Engineer. At Limelight Networks, they employed their expertise in ensuring the reliability and performance of the company's infrastructure.
In 2022, Holovin joined Edgio as a Senior DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer, further expanding their skills and knowledge in the field. Oleksandr is currently working in this role, contributing to the company's operations and site reliability.
Throughout their career, Holovin has consistently demonstrated their proficiency in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering, utilizing their technical skills to support and enhance various companies' IT infrastructure.
Oleksandr Holovin received their education at Dnipropetrovk's National Mining University of Ukraine from 2006 to 2012, where they earned a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance. In addition to their academic background, they have also obtained several certifications. In 2013, they became a Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA EX200) from Red Hat. A year later, in 2014, they earned the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE EX300) certification from the same institution. More recently, in 2022, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
