Akhil Durvasula has a diverse range of work experience. Akhil is the Founder of Lilypad, a youth-run nonprofit organization that focuses on mental health issues in students and provides workshops, community events, and consulting services. Akhil has also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Economics at BASIS Phoenix and conducted research on digital transformations as a Research Analyst at New York University. Akhil has experience as a Research Analyst at the University of North Florida, where they developed a web app for real estate renovations, and at qBotica, where they researched the RPA market. Additionally, Akhil has held roles as a Business Development Intern at Adyton.io, a RISE Program Member at the City of Phoenix, a Communications Skills Coach at LeadYouth, and the Arizona Chapter Chair and Content Writer at Young Americans Coalition for Unity.

Akhil Durvasula attended BASIS Phoenix from 2020 to 2024 and obtained a High School Diploma. Additionally, they have received various certifications including Future Business Leaders Webinar Series from NYU Stern School of Business in 2023, Entrepreneurial Immersion from the University of Notre Dame in 2022, CS50x from HarvardX in 2020, The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing from Google Digital Garage in 2020, Mathematics of Money from Johns Hopkins Center For Talented Youth (CTY) in 2019, and Environmental Science (Barrett Summer School Program) from Arizona State University in 2019.
