Alex Gomes is an experienced aerospace professional currently serving as the Engineering Manager for Flight Test Engineering at Lilium since May 2018. Prior roles at Lilium include Team Leader and Lead Flight Test Engineer. Prior to joining Lilium, Alex worked as a Flight Test Engineer in the Flight Test - Rotary Wings Department at IPEV from February 2008 to May 2018. Academically, Alex holds a Master of Science in Aeronautical & Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA, completed in 2015, a Flight Test Engineer certification from the Flight Test Institute of the Brazilian Air Force in 2008, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ITA obtained in 2007.
