James Knapp has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 1998 as an Engineer and Manager of Continuous Improvement at Toledo Metal Spinning Company. James then worked as a Senior Process Engineer and Business Development & Continuous Improvement Leader at Materion Corporation from 2005 to 2013. Following this, they served as the Director of Sales and Business Development at Toledo Metal Spinning Company from 2013 to 2015. James then worked as a Sales Engineer and later as a Sales Manager for the Ohio Division at Fuchs Lubricants from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, they became an Entrepreneur In Residence at NextTech Ohio, and from 2018 onward, they have been the Chief Operating Officer at conzrt.io. Additionally, throughout their career, they also worked as an Adjunct Dale Carnegie Instructor at Dale Carnegie Training in 2012.

James Knapp received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Toledo. James also earned a Masters degree in Business Administration from Heidelberg University. In addition to their formal education, James has obtained several certifications, including the Public Sector Leadership Program from the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Public Sector Leadership certification from The Ohio State University. James has also completed the Leadership Development Program (LDP) at the Center for Creative Leadership and obtained the Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Materion Corporation. James has a Technician-Level ERT (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 - HAZMAT) certification from The University of Findlay and has completed the Basic Powder Metallurgy Short Course offered by the Metal Powder Industries Federation. James also received training in the Lean Business Delivery System from Business Improvement Group LLC and is certified as a Business360 professional by LightStance LLC. James is an instructor for Dale Carnegie Training and has obtained the Inbound Certification from HubSpot. Additionally, they have been certified as a Volunteer Fire Fighter by the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
