Shuyang Du is a highly experienced data scientist and manager with a strong background in applied science and machine learning engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Data Scientist at Lightspeed, Shuyang has previously held multiple senior positions at Uber, including Senior Manager of Applied Science and Machine Learning Engineering, Senior Applied Science Manager, and Applied Science Manager II. In addition to experience at Uber, Shuyang has worked as a Part-time Quantitative Researcher and Quantitative Trading Summer Analyst at Athena Capital Research LLC, as well as a Quantitative Strategist at Cedar Capital. Shuyang began an academic career as a Teaching Assistant at Wuhan University.
