Clarissa Chan-Lee is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in special education, currently serving as a Special Education Program Specialist at Lighthouse Community Public Schools since July 2021 and as an Education Specialist at Oakland Unified School District since August 2013. In these roles, Clarissa has successfully implemented academic and social-emotional services for students with IEPs, co-teaching English Language Arts and Senior Seminar while developing inclusive classrooms. As the Special Education Department Chair, Clarissa contributed to the Inclusion Task Force, designing training for inclusive models and providing ongoing professional development for staff. Previous roles include Site Director for the Hip Wah Summer Program, an Adjunct Professor at Loyola Marymount University, and various teaching assistant positions. Clarissa holds a Master of Education from the University of California, Berkeley, along with special education credentials and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Riverside.
