Kyle Paaren is a Senior Fuels Engineer at Lightbridge Corporation, engaged in Fuel Performance Qualification planning and analysis since April 2024. Prior to this role, Kyle served as a Staff Scientist at Idaho National Laboratory from September 2019 to April 2024, where responsibilities included validating fast reactor material data and developing new models for next-generation fast reactors. Kyle's academic background includes a PhD and MS in Nuclear Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in the same field. Previous experience also encompasses roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at both Missouri University of Science and Technology and Argonne National Laboratory, focusing on neutron and gamma cross-section libraries and reactor modeling. Additional experience includes positions as Head Lifeguard at St. Peters Rec Plex and Health Physicist Intern at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.
