Brent Eritou has over 14 years of experience in software development and GIS. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a Software Developer and GIS Analyst for the National Political Party. In this role, they designed, developed, and maintained new and existing features in Voter Relationship Management (VRM) web application. Brent also centralized spatial data storage by designing data models and implementing them in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 databases. From 2008 to 2014, they worked as a GIS Technician for Intermap Technologies, where they produced a variety of custom digital map products. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Software Developer for BoldRadius Solutions, where they designed and developed an employee skills management application. Since 2016, they have been working as Director of Training, Senior Consultant, Consultant, and Developer Support Engineer for Lightbend, Inc. In this role, they consult with clients in F500 corporations to achieve desired business outcomes by implementing elements of Lightbend Platform in their environments. Brent also provides training and enablement services to clients through workshops, mentoring, pair programming, and code reviews.
Brent Eritou attended Trent University from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained a BA Honours in Geography and Business Administration with a Special Emphasis in GIS. During this time, they also attended Fleming College from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems - Application Specialist.
