Ashraf Abdallah has a long and varied work experience. Ashraf began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin in 1984. Ashraf then moved to the University of Assiut, Department of Horticulture in Egypt where they were an Associate Professor from 1989 to 1995. In 1995, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Davis. From 1999 to 2011, they worked at Roche and Roche Palo Alto, first as a Research Scientist and then as a Lead Research Scientist. In 2013, they became a Consultant at Light Polymers Inc. and in 2014, they were promoted to Lead Analytical Chemist at Light Polymers. Finally, in 2015, they retired happily.
Ashraf Abdallah was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Pomology at the University of California from 1995 to the present. From 1984 to 1989, they earned a Ph.D. in Plant Physiology/Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. from the Department of Horticulture at the University of Wisconsin.
