Stephen Hanchurak

Automation Engineering Technologist at Lifting Solutions

Stephen Hanchurak has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Stephen started their career as a General Laborer at Northern Lights Landscaping in 2009 and then worked as an Automotive Technician Assistant at McDonald Muffle and Brake from 2006 to 2010.

In 2011, Stephen joined the University of Alberta where they worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant until 2014.

From 2014 to 2015, they were an Automotive Technician Assistant at RH Auto Experts. In 2016, they worked as a General Laborer at Cap-City Landscaping.

Stephen then transitioned into the Oil and Gas industry, joining Peco Electrical Ltd in 2017 as an Electrical Technologist/Technician. There, they specialized in troubleshooting electrical and control issues related to drilling rig operations, designed electrical systems, and implemented automated control systems for drilling rigs.

Currently, Stephen works at Lifting Solutions Inc. since October 2018 as an Automation Engineering Technologist. Stephen'sprimary responsibilities include designing Variable Frequency Drive systems, conducting analysis of automation product failures, and developing and updating engineering practices to expedite product manufacturing and improve product quality.

Stephen Hanchurak's education history begins in 2006 when they attended the University of Alberta and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics. Stephen then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Physics from the University of Alberta, graduating in 2014. In 2015, Stephen enrolled in the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) where they completed a Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technologies in 2017.
