Richard Abbey has worked in various roles since 1996. Richard began their career as a Senior Financial Analyst at IKON in 1996, before moving to Honeywell in 1998, where they served as a Senior Accountant and Accountant. In 2001, they were promoted to Senior Financial Analyst at Honeywell. In 2002, they became President and CEO of Bellco Electric. From 2006 to 2008, they were Manager Corporate Accounting at Oasis Management Resources/Lyle Anderson Company. From 2009 to 2010, they were Corporate Controller at On Time Express. From 2010 to 2013, they were President at Lift & Stor Beds. From 2013 to 2015, they were President and Founder at RJ Custom Products. Finally, from 2015 to 2018, they were President at RJ Industrial Supply and since 2018, they have been President at AZ Cabinet Maker.

Richard Abbey obtained their Bachelor's degree in General Studies from Mayfield High School between 1986 and 1988. Richard then went on to pursue a BS in Accounting from New Mexico State University, graduating in 1993. In addition, they have obtained a Construction Contractor certification from the Arizona Registrar of Contractors in May 2016 and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) certification from Honeywell in January 2006.
