Chris Kanan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2009, they began their professional career as a Member Services Team Member at Life Time - Healthy Way of Life. Chris then progressed to roles such as Account Manager, Assistant Sales Manager, and eventually Sales Manager, where they led a team responsible for over $8M annual profit and achieved consistent year-over-year growth in the dues line.
In 2016, Chris joined the Minnesota Delta Chi Fraternity Housing Corporation as Vice President. In this role, they focused on managing, supervising, advising, and strategically planning for the real estate properties owned by the corporation.
In 2019, Chris transitioned to Lift Brands where they held two roles. Initially, they served as a Regional Director, overseeing the growth of 120+ locations in the Great Lakes region and managing a $24M annual dues line. Later in the year, they were promoted to Senior Director, Sales & Member Experience, responsible for the customer journey and member experience globally. Chris managed the Lead-to-Loyalty (L2L) success, including sales and retention performance, customer journey via CRM, lead management, onboarding, and retention touchpoints. Additionally, they focused on continuous product innovation and implementation to enhance the experiences of both the end-users and team members.
Throughout their career, Chris has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, and team management skills.
Chris Kanan attended Minnetonka Senior High School from 2003 to 2006, where they completed their High School education. Chris then enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2006 for Architecture and Urban Planning, but the degree status is not specified. Later, from 2007 to 2011, Chris pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design/Architecture at the University of Minnesota.
