Matthew Hayes is a seasoned culinary professional with extensive experience in both the culinary and educational sectors. Currently serving as a Chef/Site Supervisor for Special Events and DayHab Development at Lifestyles for the Disabled since February 2016, Matthew focuses on managing a profitable café and creating educational opportunities in the Restaurant and Hospitality industry. With a diverse background that includes roles as a Chef Instructor, Fitness Consultant, and Adjunct Professor in Culinary Arts, Matthew has developed a strong skill set in nutrition and fitness program design. Additionally, previous experience includes executive culinary roles at NYU Medical Center and R&D positions for various nutrition-focused publications. Matthew holds a Diploma in Culinary Arts from the Institute of Culinary Education, a Master’s degree in Education/Special Education from Touro University, and multiple degrees in Political Science from Hunter College.
