Billi Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Starting in 2000, they worked at the YMCA as a Membership Assistant until 2003. In 2005, Billi started their own business called Creative Perfection, where they provided graphic and photo design services for clients like the YMCA, Sheraton Hotel, and Habitat for Humanity, among others. In 2006, they joined VisionPoint as a Marketing & Communication Specialist, responsible for managing web and e-marketing activities and designing materials that aligned with the organization's brand. In 2009, Billi co-owned HUCO Marketing, focusing on eMarketing. Billi left the role in 2016. Most recently, in 2019, they joined LifeServe Blood Center as a Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator.
Billi Hughes obtained a Diploma from Chariton Community High School in 1994. Billi then attended Iowa State University from 1994 to 1996, though they did not complete a degree or specify a field of study. Afterwards, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Graphic Design at Des Moines Area Community College. Finally, from 2009 to 2012, Billi studied eMarketing and Marketing at Franklin University, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science degree.
