Trenton Poynter serves as Vice President and Managing Counsel at LifePoint Health® since December 2014, overseeing a team of legal professionals and addressing a wide range of legal issues including corporate, employment, healthcare operational, and regulatory matters. Previously, Trenton held multiple roles at Waller Lansden Dortch and Davis from September 2010 to December 2014, focusing on healthcare regulatory compliance for various healthcare providers and conducting extensive research on federal and state regulations. Trenton began legal career experiences as a summer associate at several firms, including Kramer Rayson, LLP and Bass, Berry & Sims, where foundational work in healthcare and corporate law was conducted. Trenton earned a J.D. cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law and a B.S. in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University.
