Sandy Shimabukuro is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in nursing and wellness screening. Currently serving as an Independent Contractor Health Professional at Hooper Holmes, Inc. since April 2015, Sandy participates in wellness screening events across the islands. In addition, since November 2013, Sandy has been a registered nurse at LifePlans, Inc., conducting initial intake assessments for clients seeking UHG Community Care and various Long Term Care Insurances, while also providing education and care planning. Sandy's prior experience includes a 25-year tenure at Castle Medical Center, where roles encompassed staff RN on a Medical/Surgical unit and Oncology Certified RN in a chemotherapy clinic, and overseeing medication administration at the Hawaii State Dept of Health. Sandy holds an Associate of Science degree in Registered Nursing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
