Amira E. is a dedicated medical professional with a strong background in healthcare, advocacy, and community engagement. Currently serving as a Medical Case Manager at Lifelong since August 2022, Amira has previously held significant roles in student leadership at the University of Washington, including the Middle Eastern Students Representative for the UW Student Senate and Director of the Middle Eastern Student Commission. Notable achievements include passing legislation to promote accurate representation of Middle Eastern/North African individuals in Washington state documents and leading efforts to support local Middle Eastern businesses during the pandemic. Amira's experience also includes roles in COVID patient testing at the University of Washington - School of Medicine and as a research assistant at Harborview Medical Center, focusing on health disparity issues. Amira holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Health-Global Health from the University of Washington and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree at Albany Medical College.
