Luca Minciullo, PhD, is currently working as an AI Scientist at LifeHikes® since 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer at TCL Corporate Research(HK) Co., Ltd from 2021 to 2022, where they developed real-time and high-resolution video enhancement for mobile phone devices and MCUs. Luca also worked on image enhancement technology for TCL mobile phones, including deep learning model optimization and conversion for deployment.
Before TCL, Luca worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Gense Technologies Limited from 2020 to 2021. Luca collaborated on research projects with academic and industrial partners and conducted internal research on object pose estimation, activity recognition, and human/hand pose estimation using RGB-D sensors and mobile manipulator robots. During their time at Toyota, they also submitted seven patents.
