Sim Kooner has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. They began their career as a Tier 1 Technical Support Agent at Volt Workforce Solutions, where they provided technical support for Apple Computer products. After that, they worked as a Kinesiologist Apprentice at the Canadian Back Institute. Following this, Sim joined the University Health Network and held various roles, including Clinical Oncology Nurse, Registered Nurse, and eventually Patient Care Coordinator/Clinic Supervisor. They then worked as a Nursing Manager at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre before joining Lifeguard Health Networks, Inc. as a Program Director, where they are dedicated to driving excellence in the field of digital health. Sim has expertise in program management and a deep understanding of the virtual healthcare landscape, with a focus on leveraging technology to enhance patient experiences and optimize healthcare delivery.
Sim Kooner completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at York University from 2006 to 2011. They then pursued a Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Nipissing University from 2011 to 2013. Following that, Sim Kooner obtained a Masters of Management Sciences degree in the Faculty of Engineering from the University of Waterloo, which they completed from 2020 to 2022. Sim Kooner has also obtained additional certifications, including being Certified in Oncology Nursing by the Canadian Nurses Association in April 2018 and completing Chemotherapy and Biotherapy training from de Souza Institute in August 2016. Additionally, they hold a Registered Nurse designation from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
