Ingrid Ruf, Ph.D., serves as the Director of Entrepreneurship at the Life Science Washington Institute since January 2018, where responsibilities include managing the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) DRIVe Accelerator, overseeing grant writing and SBIR/STTR programs, and supporting early-stage life science ventures. Concurrently, Ingrid Ruf holds the role of Program Manager at Life Science Washington, a position held since March 2016. Previous experience includes roles as a Scientific Technical Editor at E-World Editing, Science Writer/Project Manager at Steyer Associates, Life Sciences Analyst at the Life Sciences Discovery Fund, and Staff Scientist at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Ingrid Ruf’s academic background includes serving as an Assistant Professor at UC Irvine, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Education includes a Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Emory University and a BS in Molecular Genetics from The Ohio State University.
