Rekha Rao is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in internal and external communications. Currently serving as a Senior Manager of Internal & External Communications at Life Fitness since October 2018, Rekha previously held the position of Senior Manager of Internal Communications at Start Early, where strategic communications supported employee engagement across a 280-person nonprofit dedicated to early learning. Additionally, Rekha spent nearly a decade as an English teacher within Chicago Public Schools, developing curriculum and teaching various high school classes. Earlier career experience includes serving as Assistant Director of Corporate Communications at Capgemini, where Rekha advanced from a marketing associate role following the acquisition of Ernst & Young's consulting practice. Rekha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations & Advertising from Drake University and a Master of Teaching in Secondary Education from National Louis University.
