Chioma Ikonte, PhD, currently serves as Chief Science Officer at Lief Labs, overseeing Research & Development, Project Management, and Quality and Regulatory Affairs since October 2024. Prior roles include Vice President of Research and Development at Melaleuca: The Wellness Company and Chief Executive Officer at El Roi Nutrition LLC. From March 2021 to February 2023, Chioma held the position of Vice President, Innovation, Research & Development at SmartyPants Vitamins, where significant contributions to strategic innovation platforms were made. Additional experience includes Senior Director of Product Development at Metagenics and roles at Pharmavite, LLC, including Director of Nutrition Sciences, where impactful global innovation strategies were developed. Chioma holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Southern California, obtained between 1995 and 2001.
