Elsie Escobar has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Elsie began their career as an actor in both Hollywood and the Denver Center Theater Company from 1995 to 2001. In 2002, Elsie became a yoga teacher at Swerve Studio, and they continued this role until 2007 when they transitioned to becoming a yoga instructor at Yogaworks.

In 2007, Elsie started working at Libsyn as a Community Manager and Podcaster Relations employee. Elsie'sresponsibilities included communicating with podcasters and building relationships with independent producers. Elsie also provided technical support and assisted with the transition of new podcasters to Libsyn. Elsie worked their way up to become the Director of Community and Content at Libsyn in September 2022.

Additionally, Elsie co-founded Elsie Podcasts in 2014, a Facebook group that grew rapidly to include almost 2000 women involved in podcasting. The group offered support, resources, and answers about podcasting.

To further their expertise in the podcasting industry, Elsie founded Elsie Escobar Consulting in 2009. As a veteran in the field and an inductee into the Academy of Podcasters Hall of Fame, Elsie brings a unique perspective to the podcasting industry based on their extensive experience as a listener and independent podcast producer.

Elsie Escobar pursued their education in the field of Theater and Spanish Literature by attending Loyola Marymount University from 1990 to 1994. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. After completing their undergraduate studies, Elsie further advanced their expertise by enrolling in the National Theatre Conservatory from 1994 to 1997. Elsie earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree specializing in Theater.
