Vanessa da Silva Dutra de Carvalho is currently the Laboratory Director at Libre Foods, where Vanessa creates projects to optimize fungal research and mycelium production. Prior to this, Vanessa worked as a Lead Mycologist at the Spanish Council for Scientific Research, focusing on the mechanism of action of antifungal compounds. Vanessa also has experience as a Science Teacher and Laboratory Technician in various research settings. Vanessa holds a PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, an MS in Microbiology, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences.
