Charles Hosale

Archivist, Processing at Library of Congress

Charles Hosale currently serves as the Assistant Section Head (detail) for the Cataloging in Publication and Dewey Section at the Library of Congress, a role held since March 2018, alongside positions as an Archivist and Librarian (Digital Collections Specialist). In addition, Charles is an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, instructing INFOST 651: Audiovisual Archiving since February 2024. Previous experience includes project management and special projects assistance for the American Archive of Public Broadcasting at WGBH, contract archiving at MillerCoors, and various archival roles at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, including AV Project Archivist and Archives Intern. Charles holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Studies with a concentration in Archives and a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature, both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
