Phaedra Chrousos

Chief Strategy Officer at Libra Group

Phaedra Chrousos is Chief Strategy Officer of the Libra Group. She joined as Chief Innovation Officer in 2016, where her role was to identify, pilot and help Libra Group subsidiaries adopt disruptive technology solutions.

Prior to joining Libra, Phaedra served as a political appointee for the Obama Administration. In this capacity she was responsible for scaling some of the administration’s most successful digital initiatives, including: a 200 person digital services team, a $60M portfolio of technology products and programs, and the Presidential Innovation Fellowship program. During her time there, Phaedra also co-founded the Technology Transformation Service, which serves as a foundation for the government’s ongoing digital transformation.

Before entering public service, Phaedra co-founded and led two technology companies. The first, a health 2.0 company that remodelled the way that doctors and patients communicate, was sold 10 months after launch. The second, a digital media company, was selected as an Endeavor company for its contribution to the Greek economy during the country’s recession. Phaedra also has several years of consulting experience with The Boston Consulting Group and The World Bank Group. Phaedra received a BA from Georgetown University, an MSC from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She sits on several non-profit boards, and is a judge for Libra Group’s Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award. Phaedra was twice named one of the Federal Government's '50 Women in Technology' by FedScoop and one of Greece's '40 under 40' by Fortune Magazine.
