Debbie Gibbons currently serves as Senior Manager of Cartography for National Geographic Adult Books at The Walt Disney Company since November 2021. With an extensive career at the National Geographic Society spanning from May 1983 to December 2021, Debbie held various roles including Director of Intra-company and Custom Cartography, Director of Cartographic Production, and Project Manager within the NG Maps group. Additionally, Debbie has been involved in training as a Staff Trainer at Liberty Mountain since 1999 and has experience as a Ski Instructor. Debbie holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Urban and Regional Planning from The University of Alabama, attended the University of Kentucky, and has developed a strong expertise in cartographic production and project management throughout the years.
