Katherine Diaz is an experienced grassroots engagement manager currently working at Liberation in a Generation since November 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a county coordinator at MIJENTE SUPPORT COMMITTEE and community organizer at Siembra NC and HOME - Healing Justice Collective, where Katherine focused on building community support systems and fostering healing through decolonization. Additional experience includes serving as a server and union representative at Cafe Intermezzo, where Katherine advocated for workers' rights and contributed to union organization efforts at Atlanta's International Airport. Katherine also has a background in community organizing with Mijente, executive assistance with Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights, development coordination at Cool Girls, Inc., and program assistance at SafeHouse Outreach. Katherine holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Georgia State University.
