Michael LaGumina is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in designing and packaging high power fiber lasers and bulk optics lasers for aerospace and defense applications. Currently employed at CACI and LGS Innovations since October 2019, Michael designs precision components and assemblies for opto-mechanical and opto-electromechanical systems. Previous positions include roles at Photonics Industries Inc. focusing on mechanical component design for industrial and scientific lasers, and at Econoco Corporation, where Michael led the design of retail fixtures. Michael began the career as an Assistant Surveyor at John A Robinson Land Surveyor. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
