Ami Shah's work experience includes working as a Scientific Analyst at Lexical Intelligence since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an NIH NRSA Postdoctoral Fellow at Northwestern University from September 2015 to May 2021. In this role, they focused on identifying and defining cis-acting enhancers required for mono-allelic expression of olfactory receptors in mice, using genetic strategies and data analysis. Ami also conducted productivity and structure-function studies for assigned projects.
Ami Shah began their education in 2005 at Syracuse University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with a secondary concentration in Psychology. Ami completed their undergraduate studies in 2009. Following their graduation from Syracuse University, they enrolled at The Johns Hopkins University in 2009 to pursue a doctoral degree in Cellular, Molecular, and Developmental Biology and Biophysics. Ami successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in this field in 2015.
