Erin Derby has a comprehensive work experience spanning over several years in the legal and eDiscovery field. Erin began their career as a paralegal at Fraim and Fiorella from 2005 to 2010, providing support in various legal matters. From 2010 to 2013, Erin worked as a paralegal at Troutman Sanders LLP, primarily handling defense work for clients in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

In 2012, Erin joined The Law Offices of Richard J. Serpe, P.C. as a paralegal, where they took on a leadership role in complex plaintiff litigation, including high-value settlements in automobile personal injury, maritime personal injury, and other tort litigation cases. Erin also assisted with multiple MDL litigations.

Moving on, Erin worked at Hancock, Daniel, Johnson & Nagle, P.C. as a litigation paralegal in 2015 for a brief period. Erin then transitioned to eDiscovery roles, starting at KLDiscovery in 2019 as a project manager, overseeing various projects related to eDiscovery. Subsequently, Erin joined Lexbe in 2015 as a Senior E-discovery Specialist, responsible for document processing, monitoring, and quality control in eDiscovery processes. Erin then progressed to roles such as eDiscovery Manager and Senior eDiscovery Project Manager, leading operations, ensuring workflow efficiency, and managing client relationships.

Notably, Erin returned to Lexbe in 2020 and has since held the roles of Professional Services Director and Professional Services Manager, contributing to the company's success in delivering high-quality eDiscovery services to clients. Erin's work experience demonstrates their expertise in legal support, litigation, and eDiscovery management.

Erin Derby, CEDS, has a diverse educational background. Erin attended William & Mary from 2002 to 2005, where they focused on Government and Middle Eastern Affairs. In 2008, Erin pursued further education at Old Dominion University, specializing in Political Science with a minor in Middle Eastern Affairs. During their time at Old Dominion, Erin also obtained a Paralegal Certification in 2009. Additionally, they acquired a Certified E-Discovery Specialist certification from the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) in May 2016.
