Russell Szekely has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Russell most recently worked as the Director of Premium Services at Levy Restaurants, starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they were an Independent Agent Owner at Legacy Pointe Enterprises and also held the role of Director at Atria Senior Living from November 2021 to February 2023.
Before their recent positions, Russell served as the Vice President of Business Excellence at Compass Group North America from June 2015 to July 2021. Russell also worked at Guckenheimer as the Regional Executive Chef from January 2009 to July 2015.
Russell's earlier career includes notable roles at ARAMARK, where they were the District Executive Chef responsible for multiple venues such as M&T Bank Stadium, Oriole Park @ Camden Yards, Maryland Science Center, Verizon Center, and Nissan Pavilion. Russell demonstrated expertise in culinary leadership, catering, P&L management, business development, talent acquisition, risk management, and menu development. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Chef at Oriole Park at Camden Yards from March 1991 to November 2002.
Russell Szekely attended Syracuse University from 1984 to 1986 but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. From 1988 to 1990, they pursued Culinary Arts at The Culinary Institute of America, earning an Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) degree.
