Jorien van Hoorn, PhD, is currently engaged as a GZ-psycholoog at Levvel since September 2022 and is simultaneously a Psychologist in training for GZ-psychologist roles. In addition, Jorien serves as an Assistant Professor and Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at Leiden University since September 2018. Prior experiences include positions as a Psychologist at De Bascule, Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and PhD candidate at Leiden University, where the dissertation focused on the influence of peers on decision-making. Academic credentials further include visiting research opportunities at UCLA and UC Berkeley, as well as clinical internships and assistant roles in psychology assessments. Ongoing education includes advanced courses in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR, solidifying expertise in child and adolescent psychology.
