Kevin McCoy's work experience begins with various roles in earlier engagements from 1990 to 2004. Kevin then founded and served as Director of Remedy M&A, a boutique consulting practice, from 2004 to 2012. At Remedy M&A, they worked with clients such as Westpac, Transurban, Australian Unity, Exxon Mobile, and Archer Capital. Kevin established governance structures, assessed capability, addressed talent gaps, executed projects, and ensured smooth handover to internal management.
In 2012, McCoy joined Australian Unity and held multiple roles. As Group Executive - Strategic Business Development and Deputy CFO from 2012 to 2014, they established a Group Treasury function, improved forecasting, and led 15 acquisitions, positioning the organization for non-organic growth. In their subsequent role as Chief Financial Officer from 2014 to 2017, they drove the acquisition of Home Care NSW, managing a complex integration process. McCoy then assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, Independent and Assisted Living from 2017 to 2022, where they championed a medium- and long-term strategy, drove cultural change, and significantly increased EBITA by 175%.
Currently, McCoy is serving as the Interim Chief Executive Officer at Levande since February 2023.
Kevin McCoy obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus in Accountancy from Rhodes University, where they attended from 1986 to 1988. In 1989, they completed a Higher Diploma in Accounting from the same institution. In 2012, Kevin pursued further education at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, earning a GAICD (Governance) certification.
