David Proctor is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Design Engineering Manager at Leupold + Stevens, Inc. since June 2022, where leadership of the product design engineering group focuses on creating high-performance sporting optics. Previously, David worked at CMC Materials from October 2016 to May 2022, starting as a Senior Customer Technology Engineer before advancing to Technical Program Manager, ensuring next-generation products met customer requirements for ultra-flat wafers. David's career includes a role as Staff Process Development Engineer at Intel Corporation from July 2009 to May 2015, contributing to the development of 22nm and 14nm processors through innovative wafer processing techniques. Early career experience includes a Research Assistant position at the University of Oregon, where David built a cryogenic laser spectrometer for molecular dynamics research. David holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Cornell University and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Oregon.
