Nick Savidov is a highly experienced research scientist with a career spanning several decades in the fields of plant physiology, biochemistry, and aquaponics. Currently serving as the Senior Research Scientist at Lethbridge College since September 2015, Nick leads the NSERC Aquaponics Project. Prior to this, Nick held the position of Senior Research Scientist at the Government of Alberta, Alberta Agriculture, from 2001 to August 2015, where leadership of the Greenhouse Research Program took place. Nick's extensive research background includes roles at the University of Alberta from August 1997 to May 2001, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from April 1992 to April 1997, and Russian State Agrarian University from 1980 to 1993. Nick holds a Ph.D. in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry and a Master's degree in Plant Biochemistry, both earned from the Russian State Agrarian University.
