Erick Alonso has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Erick currently works as a Brand Strategist at LERMA/. In this role, they utilize their strategic skills to develop brand strategies.

Prior to this, Erick held multiple positions at the Dallas Independent School District. Erick started as a Substitute Teacher in 2018 and then transitioned into a Business Development Representative at FleetUp for a brief period.

Erick's most significant experience was at the Dallas Independent School District, where they held various roles from 2019 to 2022. Erick began as a Teacher, specializing in Mexican American Studies and Design Thinking at North Dallas High School. Erick integrated Design Justice Principles into lesson plans and assessments, led workshops for educators, and collaborated with students to create community-based solutions.

Erick also served as a Curriculum Writer for Mexican American Studies, where they developed unit plans and led a team of writers to create engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards.

Additionally, Erick was a Teacher of Pre-AP World History and Mexican American Studies at Sunset High School P-TECH ECHS. Erick successfully increased student enrollment in the Mexican American Studies course and implemented ethnic studies pedagogy.

Before joining the Dallas Independent School District, Erick worked as a Communications and Public Relations Student Assistant at the University of North Texas from 2013 to 2016.
