Dave Phelps is an experienced aerospace professional with a robust background in hydraulic systems engineering and project leadership. Currently serving at Leonardo since September 2019, Phelps has held multiple roles including Chief Project Lead for the AW159/Lynx and AW101 hydraulic systems. Previous positions include Lead Engineer for the KC-46A WARP Hose Drum Drive System at Cobham Mission Systems and various engineering roles at AgustaWestland and Messier-Bugatti-Dowty. Phelps also contributed to academia as a Systems Engineering Course Developer and Guest Lecturer at the University of Bristol, alongside participation as a Committee Member for the BSI Aerospace Hydraulic Systems Technical Committee. Educational credentials include studies at Gloucestershire College of Arts & Technology from 1984 to 1989.
