Christian Gerstenberger is an experienced media professional with a strong background in digital journalism and local news management. Since April 2019, Christian has served as the Leiter Lokalredaktion Dortmund at Lensing Media, overseeing the Ruhr Nachrichten Dortmund across various platforms including web, app, social media, newsletters, video, SEO, and print. Previously, Christian led the digital editorial team at Westdeutsche Zeitung, focusing on digital strategy development, and held various leadership roles at Funke Mediengruppe, including Leiter Online-Regionalredaktion and Leiter ProducerPool. Christian began a career in journalism at the Neue Ruhr Zeitung and has contributed to projects in multiple local editorial offices since 2002. Christian holds a Diplom in Journalistik from TU Dortmund University, earned between 1999 and 2006.
