Weifeng Zhang is a seasoned expert in computing with extensive experience in leadership roles across various prominent companies. Currently serving as Corporate VP and Head of Labs at Lenovo Research since March 2024, Weifeng leads the Intelligent Computing Infrastructure Lab and Wireless Research Lab. As a member of the Future Technology Symposium Program Committee for the Open Compute Project Foundation, Weifeng focuses on AI/HPC and chairs the AI Co-Design workgroup, promoting advanced AI accelerator architectures. Previously, as Chief Architect and VP of Software at Lightelligence, Weifeng specialized in optical computing and hardware-software co-designs. With prior substantial contributions to Alibaba Group, Qualcomm, and various academic institutions, including a visiting professor role at UC San Diego, Weifeng holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from UC San Diego and a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Wuhan University.
