Dave Switzer has a diverse work experience in the field of risk management and analytics. Dave started their career at First Data Corporation in 1995 as a Sr. Risk Analyst, where they built risk models for large national retailers. Dave then joined American Express as the Mgr of International Risk Management, where they forecasted missed payments and risk levels for international markets. In 1998, Switzer joined Wells Fargo as VP Business Direct Loss Control, where they developed a revolutionary approach to collections strategy.
Dave later moved to International Check Services as VP Collections and Call Centers, where they successfully turned around the company's check guarantee operations. Switzer then joined First Data as Director of Risk Management, before starting their own consulting firm, Galt Systems Inc. At Galt Systems, they provided consulting services to financial services clients and developed innovative solutions for portfolio management and direct mail campaigns.
In 2010, Switzer joined CAN Capital as Director of Risk and later became VP of Risk Management, leading a team of professionals in credit policy, modeling, and decision systems design. Dave was responsible for automating the application process and reducing new analyst ramp-up time.
Switzer's most recent role was at Data-Mind, LLC as a Portfolio/Analytical Consultant, where they worked on consulting projects in consumer lending portfolios, optimizing profit through champion/challenger testing and risk assessment. Currently, they hold the position of SVP of Analytics at LendingPoint.
Dave Switzer attended Pepperdine University from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained an MBA with a focus in Finance. Prior to this, they attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1985 to 1991, earning a BS in Advertising.
