Jiarong (Gawing) Chen has a diverse work experience in the field of civil and structural engineering. Starting in 2017, they worked as a Civil Engineer at Country Garden Properties (Hong Kong) Ltd., where they demonstrated their skills in the industry until April 2018. Following this, from June to August 2018, they served as an Engineer Intern at CHINA STATE CONSTRUCTION (CSCEC), gaining valuable experience. Later in December 2018, they worked as a Civil Engineering Intern at China Resources (Holdings) Co for a short time until February 2019. Moving forward, they worked as an Engineer Intern at Gill Engineering Associates, Inc. from June to December 2020, further expanding their expertise. Currently, Jiarong (Gawing) Chen is working as a Project Structural Engineer at LeMessurier since February 2022.

Jiarong (Gawing) Chen completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Chongqing University between 2015 and 2019. In 2019, they also participated as an exchange student in Civil Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno. Subsequently, from 2019 to 2021, Jiarong pursued their Master's degree in Civil Engineering at Northeastern University.

Apart from their formal education, Jiarong has obtained several certifications in different fields. In November 2020, they completed the "Migrating from AutoCAD to MicroStation Intermediate" certification offered by LinkedIn. Jiarong (Gawing) also holds the "Engineer In Training" certification from NCEES, obtained in May 2020. Additionally, Jiarong has acquired expertise in deep learning through the "PyTorch Essential Training: Deep Learning" certification offered by LinkedIn in May 2020. In the same month, they completed certifications in "Revit 2020: Essential Training for Structure (Imperial)" and "Learning Revit 2020" from LinkedIn, which focus on the essential training and usage of Revit software in structural engineering.
