Carie Edquist

Chief Financial Officer at Leiters

Carie Edquist has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles.

Starting from 1993, they served in the Army National Guard as an Auditor and later as a Sergeant in the Communications Team Chief.

In 2002, Carie joined Johns Manville as a Finance Leader and worked there until 2006.

From 2006 to 2007, they worked at Koch Industries, Invista as part of the Global Operations Financial & Business Analysis team.

Carie then joined Eaton Corporation in 2007, where they held multiple roles including Vice President of Finance, Americas Controller/Finance Director, and Senior Manager of Global Financial Planning & Business Analysis until 2014.

From 2014 to 2016, they served as the Vice President of Planning at Newmont Mining Corporation.

Carie worked as an Independent Consultant from 2017 to 2018, where they provided financial management consulting services.

From 2018 to 2022, they served as the Finance Director of the Office of Behavioral Health - Community Programs at the Colorado Department of Human Services.

In 2019, Carie joined the Center for Improving Value in Health Care as a Member of the Board of Directors until 2022.

Starting from 2022, they also became the Vice President Finance at Leiters.

Additionally, Carie has been a Member of the Board of Directors at Paragon Behavioral Health Connections since 2022.

Carie Edquist completed their education with a variety of degrees and certifications. Carie began their education at Tracy High School from 1989 to 1991. Following high school, they attended St. Cloud Apollo High School from 1991 to 1993, where they obtained their H.S. Diploma.

Continuing their education, Carie attended St. Cloud State University from 1991 to 1993 and earned an AA in Liberal Arts. Carie then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from the University of Colorado Denver between 1995 and 1998.

Later, Carie pursued further studies at the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, where they obtained an MBA in Business from 2010 to 2012.

In addition to their degrees, Carie Edquist received the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Minnesota State Board of Accountancy in April 2013.
